Christmas Isn't Christmas Anymore

Betty S. Jordan ~ Harold Timmons

(1) The greatest Christmas present came wrapped in swaddling clothes,
He was laid in a manger bed, so the story goes;
He is the gift from Heaven, the child that Mary bore,
But it seems we have forgotten that Christmas is of the Lord.
(2) Where is the Christ of Christmas, give him his rightful place,
The reason for His coming was to give us saving grace;
Now as we near the season, let us praise Him even more,
Like the shepherds of Bethlehem, let us bow before the Lord.
(Chorus) No, Christmas, isn't Christmas anymore,
We have a place for everything except for Christ the Lord;
Our homes are decorated, wreaths hung upon the door,
But, Christmas isn't Christmas anymore.
(Tag) We have a place for everything except for Christ the Lord,
Oh, Christmas isn't Christmas anymore.
No, Christmas isn't Christmas anymore.
